To me, photography is an art of observation, it’s about finding something interesting in an ordinary place. I’ve found it has little to do with the things you see and everything to do with the way you see them.

About

Katerina Christina is a Greek-American fine-art photographer and visual artist based in New York City.

Her work bridges documentary, street, and studio photography, capturing quiet, meditative moments within the visual and technological noise of modern life. Through composition, light, and rhythm, she slows perception—revealing beauty in the ordinary and stillness within motion.

She first picked up a camera in 2018 while studying mechanical engineering at Stanford University, seeking a creative outlet alongside the intensity of technical study. What began as a personal experiment evolved into a daily artistic discipline grounded in observation, precision, and emotion.

Her ongoing documentary series Shattered Glass tells the stories of women around the world who are breaking barriers in male-dominated fields, pairing portraiture with narrative to illuminate strength, vulnerability, and unapologetic femininity.

Beyond photography, she creates minimalist line drawings in ink and charcoal, translating her photographic sense of balance into gesture and form.

Katerina is also the Founder of Kos Partners, a wellness-focused real-estate development company that integrates architecture, design, and analog sensory experience into restorative built environments. She also competes as a domestic professional cyclist, drawing inspiration from the discipline and endurance of sport.

She holds a Master of Architecture and an M.S. in Real Estate Development from Columbia University’s Graduate School of Architecture, Planning and Preservation, and a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Stanford University.
